Planned Transmission Infrastructure

Fundamental mission of ELES is the transfer of electricity and concern for the development of the Slovenian transmission network. In order to ensure reliable and high-quality supply of electricity to all the users of the transmission network, i.e. system operator of the distribution system and larger consumers, development, construction and maintenance of the transmission network is essential.

Pursuant to the Energy Act and the Decree on the method for the implementation of public service obligation relating to the electricity distribution system operator, ELES is obliged to biannually prepare a plan of development of the transmission network for the forthcoming decade. The Programme for the development of the transmission network 2009 to 2018 presents expected condition of the energy system and required interventions into the transmission network which shall on the basis of envisaged construction of production units, expansion of distribution network and projection on the development of the European energy system continue to ensure reliable, safe and high-quality operation of the Slovenian transmission network.

• 2x110 kV Beričevo-Trbovlje transmission line
• 2x110 kV Gorica-Divača transmission line - reconstruction
• 2x110 kV Doblar-Gorica transmission line - reconstruction
• 2x110 kV Brestanica-Hudo transmission line - reconstruction
• 220 kV Šoštanj-Podlog transmission line - reconstruction
