On November 25th ELES published the auction rules for participation on the auction for the purchase of minute reserve power for tertiary frequency control outside Slovenia. Due to the fact that none of the applicants was able to gain required confirmations ELES shall repeat the auction procedure.

All interested bidders are therefore invited to submit, in accordance with the new Auction Rules, an application for prequalification recognition and, on the basis of a successful qualification, participate in the auction for the purchase of minute reserve power up to 145 MW.

The application for prequalification recognition is to be submitted by 7th December 2006.

ELES shall issue to qualified bidders a qualification recognition certificate, on the basis of which bidders will be entitled to participate in the auction. The auction will take place on Thursday, 14th December 2006 from 09:00 to 10:00 h. 

ELES shall conclude agreements on the purchase of minute reserve power for tertiary frequency control in the year 2007 with the economically most advantageous bidders (Draft Contract).
