Reconstruction of the 220 kV Šoštanj–Podlog transmission line

The reconstruction of the existing Šoštanj–Podlog transmission line and the transition from 220 kV to 400 kV will significantly increase the transmission capacities in this part of the country.

For the existing Šoštanj–Podlog transmission line of 220 kV voltage, a reconstruction as a two-system transmission line with a voltage of 400 kV is anticipated, which would significantly increase the transmission capacities in this part of the country. The upgrade of the transmission network is necessary in order to ensure additional transmission capacities between TE Šoštanja and RTP Podlog.

The transmission line is 12.5 km long and has 34 pylons and a protective rope with built-in optical fibres.
