TRANSMISSION NETWORK ACCESS

In accordance with the criteria in the System Operating Instructions, everyone who wishes to become users of the network and a power system operator has the right to a connection to the network.

Electricity supply is performed according to the principle of regulated access by a third party to the network. Network users pay the network costs based on the tariff that the Energy Agency published in the Official Journal of the Republic of Slovenia at least five days before they enter into force.

Connection to the Transmission Network

  • All persons who wish to become users of the network and power system operators have the right to a connection to the network in accordance with the criteria in the System Operating Instructions.
  • The power system operator defines the scope of the rights to use the network for each user of the network or power system operator in the consent for the connection to the grid as stipulated in Article 147 of EZ-1 by defining the highest connection power or any other operational limitation.
  • Before the start of power transmission into the network or power consumption from the network, or before connection to the network, the power system operator and the user of the network conclude an agreement on the connection to the network. After the payment of the grid fee for the connection power, they conclude an agreement on the usage of the network within the limitations from the previous paragraph.
  • The conditions for the connection to the network are defined by the signed power purchase agreement.

Access requirements provided to the system operator by the users of the network shall include the forecast amount of electric power and the final power demand for the consumption or provision of electric power, as well as the duration of the power sale and/or purchase agreement. The user of the network who is buying electric power shall also state information on the supplier.
