They met with the director of the ELES company, mag. Aleksander Mervar, who, in the spirit of good cooperation between Eles and the government, presented together with his team the implemented measures during the coronavirus for security of electricity supply, challenges, current situaton and strategy for the future. The minister evaluated the company's operations as stable and successful.

He emphasized the project of construction of the Cirkovce-Pince transmission line. "It is a major project co-financed with European funds, which must be started and completed as soon as possible," the minister added. He thanked the director of the company mr. Mervar for successfully solving many challenges, operations and investment management .

He also thanked the operators RCV who coordinate the operation of the power system 24/7 from the National Control Center. In a press statement, the minister added that despite the epidemic, ELES, as the "backbone" of the electricity industry, successfully provides reliable and uninterrupted energy.
