In the category for The Best Crisis Communications Leader, upon announcing the gold winner for 2023, Katja Fašink, head of corporate communication at ELES, the president of the jury, Mr. Arun Sudhaman, stressed: "Her effective leadership has had a positive impact on the company's reputation and reduced negative media connotations. In a unique position, she oversees all communication, documentation, and corporate events of the company she represents. Aleksander Mervar is the director of ELES, the combined transmission and distribution system operator of the Republic of Slovenia, the president of the Energy Chamber of Slovenia, a member of the board of directors of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Ljubljana, and a member of the government working group for monitoring the preparatory work for the Krško 2 Nuclear Power Plant.
